Dynament’s Flameproof Fixed Gas Detectors are specifically designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres where the risk of ignition from electrical equipment sparks is a critical safety concern. These detectors comply with requirements to enclose electrical components within flameproof housings—also known as FLP, Ex d, or explosion-proof enclosures—to prevent explosions in hazardous environments such as oil, gas, and chemical industries.
The detectors are available in robust cast aluminium as the standard option, with an alternative grade 316 stainless steel enclosure (indicated by the suffix ‘-SS’) for more demanding conditions. Each detector is equipped with a single sensor that can be an Infrared Sensor for detecting hydrocarbon gases or carbon dioxide, a catalytic ‘Pellistor’ sensor for hydrocarbons and hydrogen detection, or an electrochemical sensor designed to identify specific toxic gases and measure oxygen levels.
