FGD5/6-IR – Pellistor Replacement Gas Detectors

Dynament’s FGD5/6 Flameproof Fixed Gas Detectors are engineered to replace traditional pellistor sensors in hazardous industrial environments, offering reliable explosion-proof gas monitoring. These detectors feature robust flameproof enclosures—also known as FLP, Ex d, or explosion-proof housings—that ensure safety by containing any internal sparks or explosions, preventing them from igniting the surrounding environment.

The FGD5/6-IR model serves as a direct replacement for traditional oil and gas industry pellistor sensors. Unlike pellistors, it operates without mirrors, lenses, or separate heaters, significantly reducing the need for routine maintenance and lowering operating costs. For added protection, an optional Weatherguard accessory shields the sensor from rain and salt spray and offers the capability for remote gas testing.
